Olive Branch Bernedoodles
The Problem
Theresa has big dreams for her business. But being a solo show, she doesn’t have the time to carefully craft her marketing and client communications to win over her dream clients all while doing the day-to-day tasks required of being an ethical breeder.
The Client
Olive Branch Bernedoodles is all about “Raising extraordinary Bernedoodles with a purpose.” She does everything with care and attention, from genetic testing and temperament testing parent dogs, to completing an intensive service dog curriculum with each puppy she raises. In other words, she has got her hands full. Even though she works her butt off, she knows she needs a marketing strategy that shows her effort if the public is ever going to choose to get a puppy from her than from a puppy mill for half the price. She needs to be visible and elevated, while still staying true to the vision she’s building.
“It's important to me that my content is relevant and optimized for analytics. I want to grow my business, and I needed someone who had the knowledge to help me make that happen. I also needed someone who would listen and use the tone that I prefer for my business.”
And, she wants her buyers to have a great experience and feel prepared to raise their puppies once they bring them home. This requires a lot of communication that she just doesn’t have time for.
The Solution
Website Copy: Theresa had a lot of services and selling points of her business that weren’t shining through on her website. People couldn’t really tell what set her apart or why her dogs were special. That’s why I helped her organize her selling points, develop a brand voice that reflected her love of dogs, create a user friendly website organization system, and put all her business goodness into words on her site.
Email Sequences: Because of all the large quantity of repetitive information each new puppy buyer needs to learn, we decided to make email templates, customizable to each litter, for Theresa to automatically send out to each of her clients when they were gearing up to take home a puppy. I sorted through the variety of logistical information, fun puppy updates, and training tips she wanted her clients to be armed with. Then, I broke it down into understandable and fun emails so her clients could digest all the information at the right time in an enjoyable way.
Monthly Newsletter and Weekly Social Media Series: Dogs are family, so Theresa wanted her clients to feel like they were joining a community of puppy lovers when they purchased from her, not just saying “buy and goodbye”. To accomplish this, we’ve implemented a monthly newsletter series to share cute “pupdates”, wins previous buyers have had with their pups, general updates about her program, and fun tips, tricks, and ideas to train and bond with your puppy. We also run weekly social media series, like “training tips Tuesday” so buyers can ask their training questions and feel supported by customized answers.

The Results: “The content and projects that Bianca has created for me have exceeded my expectations. Our company has seen improvements in website engagement and a 10% increase in average time spent on our website over the past year. High engagement from our well written newsletters and an overall better online presence.
And she has made my life easier in ALL THE WAYS!!! I don’t have to think about it anymore! One more huge task off of my plate! It's been so nice having someone I trust handle these difficult and time consuming tasks and do them in such an elevated way.
Bianca is so easy to get along with which certainly helps. She has a gift of listening to your ideas and making them come to life. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!”
